Help protect the public and set national standards for registered health practitioners
National Boards and Ahpra regulate Australia’s 850,000 registered health practitioners and 180,000 registered students across 16 health professions. These Boards consist of community members and practitioner members (who are registered in the relevant profession) and set the professional standards practitioners must meet to be registered.
Applications are now open for 11 Board positions.
Members of the community across Australia are warmly invited to apply for upcoming vacancies on the National Boards for:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Health Practice
- Medical radiation practice
- Occupational therapy
- Chiropractic
- Chinese medicine
- Nursing and midwifery, and
- Paramedicine.
The National Boards and Ahpra have an important role in ensuring the development of a culturally safe and respectful health workforce that is responsive to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples health and contributes to the elimination of racism in the provision of health services.
To achieve this, we have committed to increasing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander leadership and voices on the Ahpra Board and warmly invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to apply.
