Call for applications for appointment to the Chiropractic Board of Australia’s List of approved persons for further education
The National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (the National Scheme) regulates 800,000 registered health practitioners and over 180,000 registered students across 16 health professions.
The Chiropractic Board of Australia (the Board) invites applications from experienced and current practising chiropractors interested to be included on a list of approved persons, to assist the Board to provide further education and mentoring when required under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory (the National Law).
Under the National Law, practitioners may be required by the Board to undertake further education and training for a variety of reasons. The Board maintains a list of chiropractors with appropriate expertise to draw on when, as the result of an investigation or other process under the National Law, the Board has required a practitioner to undertake further education and training.
The National Scheme has a commitment to increasing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ leadership and voices. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply, as are people from rural or regional areas in Australia.
Applications will be assessed by a selection advisory panel and the appointment will be made by the Board.
Appointments may be up to three years, with eligibility for re-appointment.
